The Virgo Cluster is a cluster of thousands of galaxies. Elliptical galaxies M49, M59, M60, M87 and M89; lenticular galaxies M84 and M86; spiral galaxies M61 and M90; and barred spiral galaxy M58 are all members of this cluster. The most famous member of this cluster is Virgo A or M87. This giant elliptical galaxy lies at the heart of the cluster and is visible through a small telescope.
M104 is the Sombrero Galaxy, a spiral that is nearly edge-on to our line of sight.
3C 273 was one of the brightest quasars discovered. Eleventh magnitude Ross 128 is 11 light years away from the solar system, making it one of our nearest neighbours.
