Obituary : William Harold Hagadone

William H. Hagadone, who worked as a bus driver and mechanic at Poplar schools for 18 years, then retired in 1972, died Monday, at age 67, in a Williston, N.D. hospital. Born in Monico, Wis., a son of Mr. and Mrs. Dugald Hagadone Sr., his family homesteaded in 1912 near Culbertson, where he spent his childhood. He first moved to Poplar in 1933 and worked in construction in Montana, Idaho and Washington. He married (Private) in Wolf Point. In 1942 he returned to Poplar and began farming. Survivors include his wife; (Private); (Private), (Private), (Private), Mrs. Harry Cain of Lame Deer, and (Private); his mother, Mary Hagadone of Wolf Point; three brothers, Myron of Kalispel, Dugald Jr. of Poplar, and Clifford of Wolf Point; a sister, Mrs. Alice Brown of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and 12 grandchildren. Services were held Friday in St. John's Lutheran Church of Poplar. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery at Wolf Point, with the Clayton Memorial Chapel in charge.

He was born Feb. 21, 1910 at Monico, Wisc., a son of Mrs. and Mrs. Dugald Hagadone Sr. The family moved to a homestead near Culbertson in 1912 and he grew up there. He moved to Poplar in 1912 and he grew up there. He married (Private) at Wolf Point. He worked in construction in Montana, Idaho and Washington until 1942 when he began farming in the Poplar area. He is survived by his wife; (Private); (Private), (Private), (Private), Mrs. Harry (Elaine) Cain, Lame Deer, and (Private); his mother, Mary Hagadone of Wolf Point, three brothers, Myron, Kalispell, Dugald, Jr., Poplar and Clifford, Wolf Point; a sister, Mrs. Alice Brown, Cheyenne, Wyo. and twelve grandchildren. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. John's Lutheran Church in Poplar, the Rev. John Orwig officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at Wolf Point with Clayton Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.
